Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of KIBŌFUND (the "App"), a personal budgeting app. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Eligibility

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. If you are under 13, you may not use the App.

License to Use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial budgeting purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Not Financial Advice

KIBŌFUND is a budgeting and expense-tracking tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Any calculations, summaries, or insights the App shows are based entirely on the figures you enter and are provided for your own reference only.

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

The Night Ritual is an optional reflection and visualization exercise. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice or treatment.

Your Data

KIBŌFUND runs entirely on your phone. Your budgets, expenses, goals, presets, and achievements are stored locally and are never transmitted to us (the only exception is a crash report, and only if you choose to email it) — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Because your data is stored only on your phone, you are responsible for backing it up. Uninstalling the App, clearing app storage, or losing your phone may permanently erase your data, unless your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud) restores it. The App's export feature lets you save a backup file to a location of your choosing — we recommend using it regularly.

Demo Version

A separate "KIBŌFUND DEMO" listing is available with certain features limited (for example, a reduced number of goals and presets, and some insights unavailable). These limitations are intentional and are not defects. You can move your goals, presets, and achievements from the demo to the full version by exporting a backup in the demo and importing it in the full version. An active budget period does not carry over; you start a new one in the full version.

Purchases & Refunds

The full version of KIBŌFUND is a one-time purchase made through Google Play or the App Store. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Payments and refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its own terms and refund policy. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before buying; the stores' family and purchase-approval features (such as Google Family Link or Apple's Ask to Buy) apply.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with, disassemble, or tamper with the App's code or intended operation
• Misrepresent your affiliation with KIBŌFUND or use its name, branding, or assets without permission

Availability & Changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. We aim to keep the App working reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or that any figures it calculates will be accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KIBŌFUND and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App — including data loss from uninstalling the App, device failure, or a missed backup.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App at our discretion, including by removing it from app stores, though we will make reasonable efforts to give notice for material changes.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law grants you additional rights that cannot be waived.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, the revised version will be published at this same URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
